Baba Ramdev at Ramalila Ground with Ravanlila

Sad that so many people were injured at Midnight swoop by Delhi Police that fatefull day.
It is also sad that Baba Ramdev had to break his fast on 9th day yesterday without Center intervention. Is it not all the immaturity of Baba who got the biggest limelight and ego boost by Central Govt first at the airport and then at Claridges hotel, yet we went through this thamasha of his long fast and public suffering at the chaos created.
How nice it would have been if Baba had announced his fast suspendion as he had promised to the Central Ministers at Claridges Hotel, while giving hand written promise himself ( written by Acharya Balakrishn). If that was done by 6 pm or so, it could have cooled off all.

Even otherwise he should have announced by 11.30 pm letter arrival. Keeping quite and then seeking nothing less than PM should talk to him was a mockery out of sheer immaturity and shortsighted ego.

Even if he had given up the police decently at the stage, with appeal to disperse and be calm, ordinary public would have been spared, instead of injuries and chaos. I can hole only Baba Ramdev responsible for all this mess.

As his follower always, he has let down the country and his supporters.

Amount of news spin floated by media was very ugly in the case of IPL tamasha. Every piece of act in the IPL game was dissected and suspicion raised.
Most hilarious and comic spin has been on betting. Every one can have one opinion only against 2 sides available. Either of the match contestants can win. Even I had bet with my wife on who will win. That does not means we are all doing something against society or law.
Of course some syndicates are there for betting as we hear in the news. But they are full time betters, who live on betting on every thing under the world.

What is that IPL can do or any sports body do. It is for the civil society and govt regulatory authorities to be on watch and act and gaurd society against illegal and addictive habits. Do that by all means.

But casting aspersions on Lalit Modi or franchisees is very shameful. More so on players and officials.

It is so easy to speculate who is talking on what subject in the coffee shop or verandah or field or bed rooms. Catch them if you can, arrest them if you have solid evidence, but to spin loose stories in the media on possibilties is very disappointing.

People bet on so many things. If the flight arrive on time or depart on time, on elections, whether it would be son or daughter during delivery etc. Politicians themselves bet, using forecasters , poll analysts etc. So many bad things may be going on in the world. But news from tax authorities or govt sources and from media is very very sad and shameful.

Media does it to increase its TRP ratings. Media has self interest or can we say Conflict of interest. Why not haul them up. Who will control or reulate the media??

Such news on IPL bettings going, during matches is shocking and misleading.

IPL tamasha

It is violation of all decency norms that BCCI is trying to oust IPL Chairman during final hours of the final match. Whatever the anger is over one man show and so called arrogance of Lalit Modi, what an example are we setting in by all this TV news through media leaks of Ditching IPL Chairman and giving a showcause notice in next hour or so or suspending him.

Are we saying to him and to all countryman, that be aware. Forget about high class professionalism, be a follower of your bosses and that is more important.
